El retrat analític. The analytical portrait.

El retrat és la forma més analítica de la fotografia, ja que és basa en la recerca urgent dels atributs de l'ànima. Per tant, el fotògraf intenta aconseguir que el model es trobi relaxat i còmode en presència de la càmera. Paradoxalment, la relació (aprensiva encara que transitoria) entre el model i el fotògraf i, en general, entre el model i l’entorn, s'ha descuidat en el retrat en gran mesura, mentre que es mereix, com un paradigma extremadament interessant de tensegritat humana, tota la nostra atenció.

The portrait is the most analytical form of photography, as it is supported by an insistent search for the model’s soul attributes. Therefore, the photographer tries the model getting relaxed and comfortable in presence of the camera. Paradoxically, the (apprehensive although transient) relationship between model and photographer and in general, between model and environment, has resulted largely neglected in portrait, while it deserves, as an intriguing paradigm of human tensegrity, our full attention.
